A Letter from the Founder

Discovering the 8 conditions of the hijab changed the way I see modesty. Hijab stopped being just a scarf for me. It became the whole picture: how my clothes fit, how they feel, and the intention behind them.

With that understanding came a sense of responsibility. Through Louhou, I want to represent the hijab in a way that never compromises our values. Finding the right outfit is already hard enough. We shouldn’t have to normalize giving up the 8 conditions of the hijab just to dress nicely.

Living in a Western country, I understand the pressure. We don’t want to look like we’re wearing a “black sack”, and we don’t want to fit the stereotypes people already have about us. But the answer isn’t to let go of our modesty. It’s to create clothing that is beautiful, comfortable and true to the hijab, all at once.

That’s what Louhou is here for.
