The month of Qur'an

Ramadan

Feb 8 – Mar 8, 2027

1 Ramadan 1448 (expected)

A month of fasting, prayer and Qur'an. Taraweeh at night, suhoor before dawn, and more time with the people we love.

Louhou tip: a loose, breathable abaya you can pray in and go to the masjid in makes long nights easier.

The festival of breaking the fast

Eid al-Fitr

Mar 9, 2027

1 Shawwal 1448 (or Mar 10, depending on the moon)

Eid prayer in the morning, zakat al-fitr given before it, and a day of family, gifts and gratitude after a month of worship.

Louhou tip: order your Eid outfit before the last 10 nights, so you can spend them in worship, not in shipping updates.

The festival of sacrifice

Eid al-Adha

May 16, 2027

10 Dhul Hijjah 1448 (or May 17) · Day of Arafah the day before

The day the pilgrims complete Hajj. We remember the sacrifice of Ibrahim (AS), share the udhiyah, and fast the Day of Arafah.

Louhou tip: the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are among the best days of the year. Plan ahead and keep them for worship.
